Macquarie 27 Fifth Wheeler

The new Macquarie 27 5th Wheeler takes the classic Macquarie 25 and adds more. The payload has been increased from 750kg to 990kg, nearly a tonne! You could fill the Macquarie 27 with your rock collection and not have any troubles on the road. There is plenty of extra storage space available to put it all in as well, with a triple wardrobe as well as all the usual overheads, cupboards, storage boxes, and of course, the enormous Travelhome boot.

One feature that has to be mentioned is the extended bathroom. Featuring a separate vanity, a larger shower with a shower door, and a separate toilet, the extended bathroom offers all the comfort and luxury of a five star hotel suite. The exterior of the bathroom has been finished with decorative fabric and mirrors for that extra flash of style. Combined with all the usual stylish elements found across our entire range, such as vinyl insert panels, decorative pelmets and curtains, roller shutter overheads, a range of great fabric colours, matching throw pillows and bedspreads, high-quality benchtop, roof, and floor finishes, concealed lighting, and modern barley gloss gel-coated aluminium cupboards, the Macquarie 27 could have one of the best-looking interiors around.

But the beauty isn’t just skin deep. We only use the strongest and most advanced materials in the construction of our travelhomes. Our chassis construction draws on decades of experience in the design of vehicle bodies and utilises many weight-saving techniques to deliver a light but strong galvanised steel box chassis. For the shell, we draw upon the experience of the boat-building industry to produce one-piece roof, nose, and rear fibreglass sections that fit over our marine ply walls to provide a strong but light-weight shell and frame. Our internal cupboards are made of aluminium for lightness and strength, and powder coated for durability. Our benchtops are made of Tasmanian Oak. These features make the travelhome even smarter than it looks.
