The first thing you notice about the Macquarie 29 Walk-Around Bed is, you guessed it, the Walk-Around Bed. While all of our travelhomes have a spacious bedroom with more headroom than the rest of the van and 2 single beds that easily zip together to form a queen sized bed and too many other features to go into, the Walk-Around Bed features a magnificent Premium Queen Bed. The luxurious bedroom really has to be seen to be believed, with a decorative mirrored headboard, surround sound speakers and TV, his and hers bookshelves and adjustable reading lamps, large bay windows, decorative pelmets and curtains, spectacular designer stairs with storage under, 2 skylights, LED lighting and concealed ceiling mood lighting, a toy box at the end of the bed, headboard storage and power outlets, matching bedspreads and pillows, under-bed storage, a spacious wardrobe, and a separate vanity. All these features and more are of course standard.
For those of us who are less active or mobile, a travelhome 5th wheeler is a perfect choice. Towing is a breeze with the hitch located above the rear axle of the car, which is why this has been the standard set-up for road transportation for yonks. You don’t have any of the problems traditionally associated with towing a caravan such as swaying or snaking. You don’t have to worry about high winds, low clearances, or fear big hills. You don’t need to worry about your tow bar as we professionally fit your hitch for you. You don’t need special over-sized mirrors or reversing cameras. You don’t need to worry about special suspension or distributing your weight evenly. All you need is a standard car license.
