5 MUST HAVE Travel Apps – 2020 Edition

After the popularity of our first Must Have Travel Apps post, we decided to do a 2020 update to the blog post. To check out the first list, click here. Here are Travelhome’s top 5 must have travel apps updated for 2020.

1. BOM Weather App

One of the two apps on this list that we are going to revisit from last time is the BOM Weather app. This app is perfect for accurate weather forecasts, straight from Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology. With a 7-day forecast, hourly updates for the next 72 hours and a radar all in the one app, this is the perfect weather app for your next trip.

2. Beachsafe

Australia is well known for it’s many amazing beaches. If you are travelling in this country, the chances are high that you are going to stop off at a beach during your journey. The Beachsafe app has been developed by Surf Life Saving Australia to help you stay up to date on all the happening at a beach you are looking at going to, and it can also help you to “find your nearest beach in seconds”.

3. NSW National Parks

This app is perfect for anyone wanting to explore New South Wales’ national parks. With all the information you could want, interactive maps, discover things to do, and you can find campgrounds and caravan sites nearby. With the ability to download all the maps you need; you won’t be forced to use your data while travelling (makes sense considering most parks don’t have coverage 😊).
